Changes to your utility bill coming in April

Changes to your utility bill in April

Des Moines Water Works (DMWW) provides meter reading, billing, payment processing and general customer service to the residents of Pleasant Hill. On April 1, 2017, residents will see a 10 percent rate increase in water rates, which equates to about $5.18 per month for a four-person household using 7,500 gallons.

The 10 percent is supported by DMWW annual Cost of Service study, which looks at the costs to serve their customers.  DMWW rate increases are consistent with a national upward pressure of rates, primarily to deal with aging infrastructure. This increase will allow DMWW maintain and keep healthy water.  After all, could you image a day without water!
