Pleasant Hill's spring cleanup April 29

Spring-CleanUp

The Citywide spring cleanup day will be held Saturday, Apr. 29. This is an opportunity to get rid of unwanted furniture and other similar items by putting them on your curb.

Curbside cleanup

  • Place semi-solid items at the curb no later than 6 a.m.  This means no garbage cans or clothes. 
  • This includes large items such as tables, chairs, couches, bed frames, etc...
  • Be sure to remove any nails/screws from wood/lumber.
  • Be sure to dismantle swing sets, picnic tables, lawn chairs, etc...

Appliance and scrap metal drop off 

  • Bring large appliances and scrap metal to City Hall parking lot, 5160 Maple Drive 
  • Items will be taken from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m.
  • Appliance and scrap metal items include:
    • Air conditioner
    • Bath tub
    • Bikes
    • Ceiling Fans
    • Cellular phone
    • Central air unit/Furnacee
    • Dehumidifier
    • Dishwasher
    • Exercise equipment
    • Freezer
    • Garage doors/openers 
    • Garbage disposal
    • Garden tiller
    • Grill
    • Lawn mower
    • Lead acid batteries
    • Metal cabinets/chairs/tables
    • Microwave
    • Printer
    • Refrigerator
    • Sink
    • Snow blower
    • Stove
    • Vacuum 
    • VCR/DVD Player
    • Video games
    • Washer/dryer
    • Water heater
    • Weed eater
  • There is a cost associated with dropping off televisions or computer monitors:
    • $15 Small  TV
    • $30 Large TV
    • $15 Computer monitors

Scrap tires

  • Drop off old tires in the west parking lot of the Public Library, 5151 Maple Drive between 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. 
  • No tires will be accepted from businesses.
  • No large semi-trailers, farm tractor or solid tires such as golf cart, fork lift or mower tires will be accepted. 

Hazardous waste

  • Household products that are hazardous can be taken to the Regional Household Hazardous Waste Collection Center, 1105 Prairie Drive SW in Bondurant.
