Copper Creek Lake Park Receives New Sign

Copper Creek Lake Park

Copper Creek Lake Park has received a new iconic sign welcoming citizens to the park and the Pleasant Hill community. On Friday, June 16 at 5:00 p.m., we invite the community to join us for a ribbon cutting event dedicating the sign to Copper Creek Lake Park.

“This new sign will certainly help brand Copper Creek Lake Park – the second largest park in the city,” said Madeline Sturms Community Development Director. “We want visitors to know this one of a kind park is in Pleasant Hill and this sign signifies that. It highlights the Gay Lea Wilson Trail, which is part of the Central Iowa Trails network, Fourmile Creek Watershed and greenway.”

The sign was funded in part by the Pleasant Hill Development Corporation in memory of longtime business and community leader, Randy Meiners.
