The City of Pleasant Hill University Avenue Corridor Improvement Strategy is an assessment of the existing roadway and intersection designs along the University Avenue/Highway 163 corridor of Pleasant Hill and a set of conceptual plans that emphasize bicycle and pedestrian accommodations along the corridor.
The City commissioned the strategic plan from Alta Planning + Design to generate a strategy for improving accessibility for intersections along the corridor. The strategy was adopted by the City in August 2018.
With City adoption and support from the Iowa DOT, the Pleasant Hill Corridor Improvement Strategy will equip the City with a set of prepared conceptual plans, ready for implementation when an intersection is scheduled for reconstruction.
