Compost It! Season Begins April 7th

COMPOST IT!

Compost Season – Wednesday, April 7 to Wednesday, Nov. 24

            

        Four Ways to Participate

  1. Compost It! Bags - No Sticker Required
  2. Generic or store brand bags – Compost It! sticker required for each bag – Stickers $1.50 ea.
  3. Brush bundles – No more than 18 inches in diameter & no more than 4 feet long.  Sticker $1.50 ea.

Yard Cart Program

Residents have the option to use a convenient 96-gallon cart, which holds the equivalent of 3 compost bags.  

FIRST–TIME PARTICIPANTS – Enroll through City Hall /262-9368, 5160 Maple Drive, Ste. A, Pleasant Hill

.  

• First year: Cart $53 + Sticker $105 = $158 full season. (The first season prorated based on month program purchased)

• $105 to purchase an annual sticker thereafter. Renew at City Hall or on-line via Metro Waste Authority’s website at www.mwatoday.com.  Your sticker will promptly be mailed to you.

• Season runs from the first Wednesday in April through the last Wednesday in November in Pleasant Hill.

• Weekly collection on garbage day.  Set at the curb at least 3 feet from garbage & recycling carts.
